Lisa Junior

Herbert Reither, PYP 3 teacher & ICT Coordinator

I was born in Austria and spent the first few years here as well. Upon entering elementary school my family and I moved to the USA. There I spent a great deal of my school time moving between the states of Alabama and Georgia. It was also at the Atlanta International School that I got a first taste of international school life.
I came to Austria to get my teaching degree at the local pedagogical academy. During my studies, I had the chance to spend some time in Sweden, experience the wonderful country, as well as get some teaching experience. Additionally I specialized in intercultural relations and its effects in school.
Upon having finished my studies in Austria, chances were rather bleak of finding a job. The fantastic city of Kraków, Poland offered what I was looking for. I taught English and German at language institutes focusing on various age groups. I trained to be an assessor for The London Tests of English and The London Tests of English for Children. Furthermore I obtained the examiner authorization for all certificates of the Österreichische Sprachdiplom Deutsch. Terminology courses in multinational corporations led me back to the international environment.
I am thrilled about being part of a growing community at LISA-JUNIOR. In order to meet the expectations, I regularly attend IBO workshops and ECIS PE conferences.
Recently I graduated as Diplomierter Bewegungstrainer, specializing in children’s physical education.
My drive in this international community in Linz is to capacitate students with the tools, knowledge and compassion they will need in order to be successful.
