Childhood: I was born in Julbach, Upper Austria. I very much enjoyed growing up in a loving family with two siblings on the countryside.
Education: During my teacher training at “Private Pädagogische Hochschule Linz”, I got a chance to study in Norway for one semester. I worked at “Krossen Skole” – an integrative school where children with and without special needs learned and played together. This great example of integration and differentiation inspired me. After I finished University, I spent 9 months in the USA in order to experience another culture and to further develop my English language skills. I loved caring for “my” 2,5 year old triplet boys!
Work experience: In September 2012, I started teaching at LISA-JUNIOR. I am glad I got the opportunity to work in a school which truly lives the IB philosophy. I believe that a classroom is a unique community with various abilities, potentials and needs. Our teaching style allows us to embrace and benefit from this diversity.
My goal is to help students become independent and confident learners who believe in themselves.
From September 2015 on, I am one of the PYP-coordinators. I am looking forward to the personal growth that filling the double role as a homeroom teacher and coordinator will bring with it.
