Early Years (4.5 to 6 years)

Personal, social and physical education, quality teaching with proven achievement.

Early childhood marks a time of significant growth and learning. The experiences of children at this time have a powerful effect on their future development. At Anton Bruckner International School,  the strong emphasis behind all our teaching and interaction is on building foundations for the future growth of the child through inquiry based learning. We help our students acquire skills and knowledge that will benefit their development and also aim to build up a positive attitude towards learning, creative thinking and self management. We help children to be actively engaged with their environment through exploration and investigations that the students often initiate themselves.

The ELC class of Anton Bruckner International School encourages children to see learning as both enjoyable and meaningful to the real world we live in. We focus on developing the child as a complete global citizen through social, physical, intellectual and emotional learning. Our school programme has a strong emphasis on language development (English in the morning and German in the afternoon) and opportunities for thinking, problem-solving, self-expression and discovery.

Our Philosophy Statement

We believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. We will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. We will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. We have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.

The ELC classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. Our role as teachers is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, we will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. We will present a curriculum that involves the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life and will incorporate hands-on learning in order to make children active learners. Finally, we will tie learning into the world community to help children become caring and active members of society.

Early Learning Center at Anton Bruckner International School is open for students age 4.5 to 6.
